Magic Marker
Over Christmas break, i made several small things out of wood, one of which was a marking gauge. A marking gauge is designed to scribe accurate layout lines for joinery. The one i made from scrap is free and works better than most store-bought ones because of its one-handed locking mechanism. What's not to like about that?
